Nightstop prevents homelessness through hosting. It helps people who are in immediate housing crisis by providing safe accommodation in the homes of vetted volunteers called "hosts". Nightstop would not exist without its army of incredible volunteer hosts.
Hosts offer young people a private room, an evening meal, a shower and a listening ear. All our volunteers sign up to a rota and choose which evenings they would like to host, on a completely flexible basis. They are trained and supported throughout, and are reimbursed for the expenses they incur. The accommodation is provided initially for one night, but it is reviewed on a night-by-night basis. While the guest is staying with the host longer term, appropriate accommodation is sought by Nightstop staff to help move the guest into a positive next step.
If you think you can help young people have a safe place to sleep and would like to find out more, please get in touch with us. We'd love to hear from you.
