Street Corners

Have you heard the other side to the story? Our Street Corners campaign shows homelessness from the perspective of young people who have nowhere to stay.

Join our Nightstop service and give a young person a place to stay for the night and a chance to change their life.

Nightstop is a service that matches up homeless young people with volunteers who are able to put them up for the night.
It has been going for almost 30 years, with more than 500 people already hosting young people in their spare rooms across the UK. Nightstop UK provides around 13,500 bed-nights a year to young people.
Now, it is time do more.
That is why Depaul teamed up with Publicis London to launch a poster campaign and encourage potential volunteers to text Depaul and sign up. Posters explaining how the service works will be fly-posted around the corners of buildings in London - the very places homeless youths find themselves without accommodation.
One side of the corner explains the negative preconceptions people have about giving up their spare room to a homeless young person. But when both sides are read together the message transforms, showing the benefits of volunteering. There is, another side to the story.
Nightstop volunteers are ordinary people helping those with nowhere to stay the night.
More young people than ever are sleeping in unsafe places and we saw demand for our emergency accommodation services soar by more than 300 percent in London in just one year.
Help us meet the demand and join in with this fantastic and rewarding work - text NIGHTSTOP on 70660 to volunteer with us today or tweet using #DepaulCorners to raise awareness.
